Hello! I'm Captain Judd Field, the owner of Field Day Fishing.
I've been fishing for as long as I can remember, and it's always been more than just a hobby to me. Growing up in Astoria, Oregon, I've spent countless days on the water chasing salmon, steelhead, and sturgeon. Those experiences are what gave me such a deep appreciation for Oregon's fisheries and the outdoors.
With such a deep connection to fishing, I took on a role as a steelhead fishing instructor at Oregon State University — where I'm also earning my degree in Business Administration with a minor in Family Business. I taught students about fishing techniques, safety, conservation, and the joy of the experience. I care about helping people learn new skills and build confidence, whether they're picking up a fishing rod for the first time or looking to become better anglers.
